At Rogers Center for Dentistry, we use the latest in digital X-ray technology. The new digital X-ray machines limit the radiation beam to the small area being X-rayed and the digital sensors create less radiation than film. We want to ensure the safety of all our patients so we implement the latest technology which exposes the patient to the least amount radiation as possible. Another added benefit to the latest X-ray technology is that digital images are produced instantly which create faster appointment times.

Dental sealants are a thin, plastic coating painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth to prevent tooth decay. The painted on liquid sealant quickly bonds into the depressions and groves of the teeth forming a protective shield over the enamel of each tooth. Dentists advise children to get sealants on their permanent molars and premolars as soon as these teeth come in. The dental sealants can protect the teeth through the cavity-prone years of ages 6 to 14. However, adults without decay or fillings in their molars can also benefit from sealants.
