Dental Bonding is an inexpensive fix that may help.

What is Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding is the use of white, tooth-colored composite filling material to fill, repair, or making minor, aesthetic improvements to a tooth. An alternative to tooth veneers, dental bonding can be used as a restorative procedure for chipped, cracked, discolored, or misarranged teeth.

The bonding procedure can often
be completed in a single office
visit and significantly improve a
tooth’s appearance.

Why would I need
Dental Bonding?

Dental Bonding is an easy and inexpensive way to improve one or more of your teeth, and the treatment can be completed in a single visit to our office. It is a simple, conservative way to improve the appearance of your smile.

What is the Process?

The tooth is prepared for the procedure by lightly etching the surface and applying a bonding liquid. Once the liquid sets, a plastic resin is applied and sculpted into the desired shape by Dr. Rogers’s expert hand. The resin is then trimmed, smoothed, and polished to a natural appearance.

FAQs

How long will it take?

The bonding procedure can often be completed in a single, short office visit and can significantly improve a tooth’s appearance.

Will the bonding match my teeth coloring?

Our team will use a shade of composite resin that matches the original color of your teeth for a natural-looking effect. If you would prefer, you can choose to whiten your teeth before bonding, and we can use a slightly lighter shade to whiten the color of your teeth.

What are some considerations for Dental Bonding?

The bonding procedure can often be completed in a single office visit and significantly improve a tooth’s appearance. However, since the plastic resin used is not as strong as your natural tooth enamel, it is more likely to stain, chip, or break than natural teeth. Bonding typically lasts three to five years before needing repair.
